Solon files bill on uniform paint colors of gov’t buildings

A congressman filed a bill that would require all government buildings to be painted in beige The proposed law aims to eradicate the practice of painting facilities based on the political leanings of government officials The lawmaker said the government will benefit from the financial savings that the proposed law would bring A lawmaker from Quezon City urged all government agencies in the country to eradicate the practice of painting public facilities according to their political leanings by filing a bill that requires all government-owned buildings to be painted in a uniform color. In an article published by Coconuts Manila on August 5, 2016, it was disclosed that 2nd District Rep. Winston Castelo filed House Bill 1591 also known as the “Beige Uniform Paint Color on All Government Buildings Act of 2016” during a regular session of the 17th Congress.
