They say a dog is a man’s best friend and so, this unusual friendship of a mailman and a guard dog build touches the hearts of the many. A video shared on Facebook by Michael Collins quickly went viral by revealing a guy who intentionally got down from his bike to pat the huge pup in Tauranga, New Zealand.
Unfortunately, it’s parting time
That “bye-for-now” look
Collins, the dog owner, noticed the mail carrier and his 9-month-old puppy’s different kind of bond. So, he tried to hide and set up a hidden camera to catch the two’s sweet friendship and showed it to the social media world.

“Just want to share something cool! Everyday whether or not we have mail this mailman always stops to see my dog who is only 9 months old,” Collins said.
He instantly rises up the moment he saw the mailman.

Collins goes on to explain that the unknown guy usually stops in front of their fence, even though they don’t have any mail to receive. However, this small act moves him as the mailman shows affection to his dog knowing his threatening size.
The mailman taps the fence, a sign that he’s asking the dog to go near him.

“He always gets overlooked as a dangerous or unapproachable dog, Maybe ’cause he’s big I am not sure.”
And the patting starts

“He doesn’t bark at them or growl ( Maybe the odd couple times he barks at people but which dog doesn’t ) But this guy here always makes an effort to get off his bike to give him a hug and a pat!”
The dog even gives his human friend a kiss

As he is deeply touched by the mailman’s kindness to his dog, he wants to personally thank the guy and meet him.
