According to the results of the July 2 to 8 poll, President Rodrigo Duterte is trusted by 91% of Filipinos, making him the most trusted government official.
The pollster also noted that the President only got a “small/no trust” rating of 0.02 percent, which is means that “practically no one” distrusts him.
Meanwhile, eight percent said that they were undecided whether to trust the President or not. This is according to Pulse Asia.
“President Rodrigo R. Duterte begins his stint as the country’s 16th president with an overwhelming majority of his constituents expressing trust in him (91 percent) and practically no one distrusting him (0.2 percent). The rest of Filipinos (8 percent) cannot say if they trust or distrust President Duterte,” Pulse Asia explained.
Former President Benigno Aquino III also enjoyed the highest trust rating of 85% during the start of his term, with 2% distrusting him and 13% unsure.
The 91% is the highest trustr rating achieved by any individual since the start of trust surveys by Pulse Asia in 1999.
Duterte got the highest trust rating in Mindanao (97%), and then in NCR at 92%, and the same trust rating of 89% in Luzon and Visayas.
Among socioeconomic classes, meanwhile, he has the highest trust rating among those in Classes D and E (92%), and 89% by Class ABC.
Social Weather Stations (SWS) also conducted a similar survey and showed that Duterte garnered an “excellent” net trust rating of +79. | ASCS - FNPH
