This incident angered many netizens which compelled them to actively participate in the grand manhunt of the suspect which was identified as Vhon Tanto.
And thankfully, he was arrested just recently in Masbate.
According to him, he politely asked the biker for apology as he almost hit him. But the biker responded roughly. They then exchanges cusses and insults which intensified the situation. Tanto added that the biker provoked him to get off his car. They then had a bout in which the biker have beaten him into a pulp.
Their exchange of insults got more aggressive and led Tanto into impulsive decisions and shot the biker repeatedly.
Despite the video, he added that he didn’t intended to kill the biker. Quoting from his statement, he said: “Di ko talaga sinasadya yun, Sir. Di ko din ginusto yung nangyari.”
When asked if he tried to escape, he defended himself being at Masbate, by saying that he only brought his family to safety.
Meanwhile, the netizens remain apathetic to him despite hearing his side.
