BEIJING, China – Photos showing a puppy holding his smaller friend close after they were taken in by nuns emerged online and melted hearts of the online community.
Shanghaiist mentioned in an article that the adorable series of photos have gone viral on the Chinese internet showing a small brown dog holding in his little arms, an even smaller black puppy as if doing all he can to protect his best friend.
A group of kind-hearted Buddhist nuns took in the pair of cute puppies after they were found roaming the area. The location of the temple was not disclosed as well as where the nuns got the puppies.
Online users on Weibo were absolutely hooked by the two lovable pups, lashing out at the heartless souls of the previous owner that abandoned them on the street.
“How can people be so cruel? They shouldn’t have bought the dogs in the first place if they weren’t able to take good care of them!” one Weibo user said.
Another took note at the sadness on the puppies eyes saying, “Oh, poor puppies! Look at their sad eyes, they must have been suffering a lot on the street!”
“I’m afraid that the dogs will starve to death since we all know that nuns don’t eat meat! What else can they feed the dogs then?” one Weibo user said.
This is not the first time a “hugging” puppies went viral on the internet.
An article by Kicker Daily said that a photo of two puppies “hugging” each other is going viral on the internet after it was posted with a caption imploring online users to donate in order to save them from being taken down in a shelter.
The puppies, named Kala and Keira, are reportedly at Etowah County Humane Society during the time they were photographed
