We’ve all been in the lowest point ourselves where we almost lost our hope, our motivation and even our purpose. On those points, it was so easy to give up, and to just stop.
But this man would amaze anyone and touch your heart as he shares his story.
Nick Vujicic, a 33-year-old man held two talks at the Smart Araneta Coliseum last Friday, July 29, 2016. He was able to fill the Big Dome in its full capacity of more than 10,000 people.
But what surprising is that, this motivational speaker can gather as much listeners despite having no arms and legs!
He, among the many motivational speakers, can exude such courage and faith that touched millions of people worldwide. He was born with a rare congenital disorder called “phocomelia syndrome, where arms and legs are absent or are attached to the trunk like stubs”. He grew insecure and feeling sorry for himself in Brisbane, Australia. Well, it was easy to feel that way in his case, being different from the rest of the world.
But what blew the audience last Friday was his opening statements which includes “I’m just like you. My doctors, parents, Lady Gaga don’t know why I was born this way,” he said. But then he added that we all have something in common with him. “We all have disabilities—disabilities of the heart.”
