Thousands of people are sharing a video of a manatee swimming through
thick algae taken in Martin County, where Gov. Scott has declared a
state of emergency.
"I'm in absolute tears this evening and so saddened," said Chris Mascia Palas, in the viral Facebook post.
Adam Palas and his wife spotted the gentle giant in a canal behind their house in Stuart Florida.
He
said the manatee appeared to be in search of fresh water, so Palas
grabbed a water hose. The video has been viewed more than 800,000 times
and has been shared nearly 24,000 times.
