The long road to healing: Cherry Pie Picache mulls forgiveness for mother’s killer

Actress said she was is now willing to forgive the houseboy who killed her mother She said forgiveness would be the start of her journey of healing and moving on She also said her family “cannot sulk forever”, is still coping with the loss though MANILA, Philippines – For Cherry Pie Picache, the long road to healing starts with forgiveness. Commenting on her mother Zenaida Sison’s death for the first time since the conviction of her killer Michael Flores, Picache said she is considering forgiving him if only to move on. “Just to consider forgiving him is already a big step,” she told the Philippine Daily Inquirer. “I’m still at the start of this long journey. “My siblings, especially my two sisters who are based in the United States, once told me, ‘You’re willing to forgive him? Are you serious?’” Flores, a houseboy of Sison, was found guilty of robbery with homicide after he killed her inside her home in September, 2014. He admitted to killing Sison after she discovered him taking her valuables and called for help.
