In his Sona last Monday, July 25, President Rodrigo Duterte has said a lot of impressionable things and one of those was his reaction to the viral photo of a wife refusing to let go of her dead husband, an alleged drug pusher.
“And you portrayed in a broadsheet na parang Mother Mary cradling the dead cadaver of Jesus Christ. Eh ‘yan gmga ‘yan, magka-dramahan tayo dito,” Duterte said.
“Ilang beses ko na sinabi, sa Davao, huwag mong gawin, kasi makakaproblema tayo. He is the cause of the cause is the cause of them all. Ikaw ‘yung nag-umpisa, you swallow,” he explained.
Duterte repeated his warning to the drug users and pushers of the consequences of their crimes.
“Kung ayaw niyong mamatay, kung ayaw niyong masaktan, huwag kayong umasa sa mga pari at sa human rights. Hindi nakakapigil ‘yan ng kamatayan. So huwag niyong gawin,” the President said.
For him, the government is just doing its part of the war against drugs. He said that they are just working, they have a nation to have and they have to ensure the health of billions of people.
“Kita mo, lesser crime. Wala na kasing magnanakaw, wala nang nagholdap.”
