Blood Type Diet And Exercises For Healthy Joints And Mobility

Joint inflammation will reduce only when there’s free movement of bones, therefore it’s important to stay away from foods containing harmful lectins (specific to blood type): wheat, corn and white potatoes for type O; red meat, cow’s milk and kidney beans for type A; chicken, peanuts and buckwheat for type B; chicken, bell peppers, sesame oils and seeds for type AB.

The body is supposed to have enough space around joints to allow the bones to move freely and if the tissues around the joint get inflamed, the space becomes smaller.

For healthy joints, it’s important to use appropriate protective gear in sports and learn the right techniques to minimize the risk of injury. Avoid harmful dietary lectins which cause inflammatory responses in the body.

Lectins are proteins found in many foods and they usually react chemically with blood type antigens; the molecules that are found outside the red blood cells. Many lectins are harmful for one blood type whle being neutral or helpful for another.

Aerobic exercises can reduce joint swelling and strength training builds muscle, helping to support and protect arthritic joints. Physical exercise promotes lean muscles and reduces weight.

Exercises based on your blood type

  1. Blood type O

This blood type benefits from brisk exercise that taxes the cardiovascular and musculoskeletal systems. Basically, this blood type doesn’t benefit much from gentler exercises like yoga or Tai Chi, but individuals with arthritis or chronic illness will benefit from ANY amount of regular movement.

  1. Blood type A

This blood type must focus on exercises such as yoga and Tai Chi, and light aerobic exercises such as walking.

  1. Blood type B and AB

These blood types will achieve overall fitness with a balance of moderate aerobic activity and mentally soothing, stress reducing exercises.

If you’re not used to it, then you can start slowly and do as much as you can.
