International Business Times quoted her as telling the court: “It could have been two, three or four.” The bodies of the eight newborn babies, which have been killed between 2003 and 2013, were found wrapped in towels and plastic bags at Goeppner’s apartment last year. The police only charged Goeppner with four murders because one of the infants was found to have been stillborn and the other three were so badly decomposed that it was hard to determine whether they were viable at birth.
