Ford Motor Co. has issued a recall for an estimated 1.9
million vehicles in North America to replace defective airbags made by
Japanese supplier Takata Corp, the company said on June 1.
The faulty airbags are located on the front passenger side of the
car. Driver side airbag inflators are not included in the recall, Ford
said.
The motor company will replace the defective air bags for free.
The recall includes includes 1,896,443 vehicles in the United States and territories, 1,304 in Canada, and one in Mexico.
