Despite previous much talked-about feuds with the local and international media,President Rodrigo Duterte posted a challenge on journalists if he fails in his sworn duty as the President.
...do not hesitate to attack me, criticize me if I do wrong in my job. It is your duty to your country. As I have my duty to the people to serve you. Huwag kayong maano..." he said in his arrival speech after attending ASEAN in Laos and working visit in Indonesia.
This was after he was asked about the issue that it was media's fault that caused the'almost-misunderstanding' of Duterte and Obama. It was after his strong statements against the US President that has caused some 'diplomatic concern'. But Duterte dismissed this fault into 'people commit mistakes' and said "[If the mistake] is just a mere shortfall of talent, hayaan mo na... I would like to presume that you did it without malice."
