The sorrowful news was confirmed through the social media site, Facebook.
On the caption of the post, Mitch De G wrote: "It is with a heavy heart to let everyone know that our dear friend JOY VIADO has joined our Creator today @ 8:55 pm due to heart failure. Arrangements are still being made as of this time, details will be posted as soon as completed. Thank you."
Joy Viado's career started as a comedian. Later on she worked on different genres such as horror, drama and even romance.
The veteran actress worked in several series and films. She is one of the stars in the box office hits such as 'Sisterakas' and 'Girl Boy Bakla Tomboy'.
Back in 2015, she made it to the headlines when she appealed for help to save her foot from being amputated due to diabetes complications.
