Duterte calls for first cabinet meeting, guess who’s not invited?

Incoming president Rodrigo Duterte will meet incoming cabinet members on Tuesday following his proclamation in a join session between congress and the senate on Monday.

“Siguro after the Cabinet meeting, we will have a meeting tomorrow, in the afternoon and that’s of the presumptive Cabinet members, we were told to go to Davao,” Incoming Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre II said on Monday.

New appointees might be announced after the meeting, Aguirre said.

“Siguro maraming ia-announce bukas. I believe na kaya kami doon pinapunta lahat eh ia-announce niya ‘yung mga bagong i-designate niya including appointees for the principal positions like NBI, saka siguro ‘yung iba pa,” Aguirre said.

Will Leni be there?

“Hindi pa siguro, kasi nakita niyo naman siguro sa pronouncement ni President-elect Duterte na tinitingnan pa niya kung saan mailagay si Vice President-elect Leni.” Aquirre answered.

The incoming vice president Leni Robredo ealier said that she has no right to ask for a cabinet post and it’s a complete prerogative of the president to give or not to give a post to the vice president. Asked if what agency suits her best Robredo said DSWD.
